Safeguarding Forum

Following the formation of the Southern League (SL) in 1969, a general inquiry in 1970 initiated by Noel Fisher showed a widespread interest among clubs tired of the surfeit of draws in ‘friendly’ cricket and looking for a competitive edge with rewards, in the form of promotion, for success.

Safeguarding Forum 2019

Hampshire Cricket Board Ltd would like to invite club chairs and welfare officers to participate in our second annual Safeguarding Forum on Thursday 14th March 2019, 630-9pm at The Ageas Bowl.  A complimentary buffet is provided at 630pm.

Where clubs do not have a trained welfare officer, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) advises that legal responsibility lies with club executive officers so this invitation is relevant to all chairs of clubs with junior members (i.e. aged under 18 as at 31 August 2018).

The aim of the forum is to provide additional support for club welfare officers and share the latest developments on safeguarding in cricket direct from ECB.

Jenni Douglas-Todd (director Hampshire Cricket Board, member ECB Regulatory Committee), ECB Safeguarding staff and the County Welfare Officer will provide advice and guidance in this important aspect of club management.

LOCATION: Shaun Udal Suite, 2nd floor, Colin Ingleby-Mckenzie Stand, East Gate, Ageas Bowl, Botley Road, West End SO30 3XH (free parking onsite)
