Following the formation of the Southern League (SL) in 1969, a general inquiry in 1970 initiated by Noel Fisher showed a widespread interest among clubs tired of the surfeit of draws in ‘friendly’ cricket and looking for a competitive edge with rewards, in the form of promotion, for success.


The price of cricket balls has been had to be increased by £1.00 per ball.

This is because the suppliers, Dukes, increasing their price to the HCL as direct result of the currency drift over the last year. All their currency transactions with their suppliers are in US Dollars ($)

Balls and handbooks will be available for collection from Compton & Chanders Ford Cricket Club, Shepherds Lane, Compton SO21 2AB, on Sunday 30 April between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm
