Missing handbook details

History

Following the formation of the Southern League (SL) in 1969, a general inquiry in 1970 initiated by Noel Fisher showed a widespread interest among clubs tired of the surfeit of draws in ‘friendly’ cricket and looking for a competitive edge with rewards, in the form of promotion, for success.

The Island,  Wide Lane Sports Ground, Wide Lane, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 5PE

From West: exit M27 at Junction 5, take second exit from large roundabout to Eastleigh. At next roundabout go left into Wide Lane. Entrance to ground is opposite Parkway Railway station, on the left. From East, exit M27 at junction 5, go all way around big roundabout and take the Eastleigh exit. Then follow directions as above. On arrival, park in carpark, head into main reception area to find your changing room. The Island Ground is to be found to the left of the artificial pitches behind the main facility. Cars cannot be parked at the Island Ground
